To the two years 🙂 of motherhood!
One word !! Bliss!!!
This has been on my mind forever!!
But somehow was putting it off .. Forever 🙂
Today I felt like treating lil’ A and there you go .. It just took me 15 min
I used left over foam sheets, eyelets, Popsicle stick and A’s thread that has been lying forever, of course a magnet as well .. And to punch the eyelets home … the ginger smasher 🙂
Wasn’t it easy breathy 🙂 and needless to say Aadya LOVED it!!
Attaching the pic of a small box i made from scraps to hold my toddler crayons which doubled up to make a fish tank!!
My little daughter refuses to acknowledge colours 🙂
Of course its a toddler we are talking about ..
How to familiarize when pointing to the routine objects dint help and I couldn’t do those so very interesting but painstaking crafts for her ?!
I got hold of crayons and found some popsicle sticks lying around.
I thought why not a simple matching activity for her? It wouldn’t be too overwhelming and its very easy peasy for me as well 😀
So I just had fun colouring them when she went for a stroll and when she was back she was excited 🙂
And I could finally make her interested in colours ..
So I think keep it simple mommy ! does the trick 🙂
There you go my little craft .. And I always feel if I could do something, ANYBODY can do it 🙂
I feel water colors would do more justice for even colouring but I did utilise what was available 😛 and definitely little A did not notice 😀
I have some more activities in mind with these popsicle sticks .. Will post them when I get to do them..in action 🙂
I go for a bath leaving little Aadya in the care of my maid ..
I return after a good 15 minutes and what do I see???
Aadya has nibbled a good half the box of sweets :O …
Very very busy 😀 she was …
and that heart melting smile … 🙂 that satisfied look ..
Oh babies ! such adorable creatures .. <3
Now I understand how little Krishna managed to nick butter all the time and get away 🙂
<3 <3 <3
Everyday aadya has been biting me .. And i writhe in pain ..
Today she was extra cautious .. Looking into my face if I was in pain .. And trying to feed
TRYING to be gentle ..
Must be tough .. For moms milk was the most tastiest for her and resisting that for mommas pain .. Takes a lot .. Of compassion and love for Amma <3
Oh so much to learn from my darling
I see a lot of posts on fb saying we taught our kids this, that and on and on ..
I wasn’t really interested in joining them.
Aadya at 15 months could say ram ram, govinda and Om namah sivayah!
Om namah sivaya is tough .. She heard me twice in kasi and started saying OM amachiya …..
I was happy!! We dint teach her but just chanting as she loved hearing to mantras 🙂
So I dint really care about the normal jargon 🙂
But aadya had a severe cold and suddenly started pointing out mukka to her blocked nose for asking to clear it.
I dutifully obliged for 3-4 days and then realized she learnt on a body part on her own out of sheer necessity;)
Oh she communicates very well and tries to talk like us 🙂
But when I finally realized she was interested in these body parts we jumped into the jargon
I just showed her the body parts her and mine and told her what they were .. She smiled 🙂
We did this some 4 times in a few days and bang
Today she just showed me my parts as I was saying the various parts names …
Wow!! Amazing brains these kids have these days!
I know its easy for them to learn the first 6 years
I also heard their mind is a plain paper and hence easy for them.
Well this just increased my responsibility in moulding Aadya! 🙂
